Welcome to Upperthong Junior and Infant School, Holmfirth, a school where every child is supported to be proud to learn, achieve and belong. As the new Headteacher, I feel incredibly privileged to join such a caring and vibrant community.
At Upperthong, we want every child to feel proud of who they are and inspired by what they can achieve. Our curriculum is rich, ambitious and designed to spark curiosity, deepen understanding and open doors to new opportunities. We set high expectations for learning, behaviour and personal growth because we believe every child deserves the very best.
Our staff team is dedicated, skilled and passionate about helping children flourish. Strong partnerships with parents and carers are central to our work, and I value open, honest communication. I am committed to being approachable, visible and ready to listen as we work together to support every child’s needs.
Together with our staff and pupils, I warmly welcome you to Upperthong and to the wider school’s community. If you would like to learn more or visit us in person, please get in touch – I would be delighted to show you what makes our school such a special place.
